I have it ~ ☺ ️
There is a parking lot adjacent to the shop, but it is unknown whether it is the exclusive space of blue bottle coffee.
From 8 o'clock to 19 o'clock
Overpriced coffee shop. They don't have any decaf. Had to pay about $7 us for a hot chocolate. The atmosphere is a warehouse. There's even a forklift there inside. But it is blue bottle and it is very popular. Especially with Asian tourists. there are many better coffee shops in the area, including arise up the road from Blue bottle.
Blue Bottle is inspired from Japanese mastery and art of serving coffee. Of course Blue Bottle has raised the bar. The place is magnificent and Kiyosumi Shirakawa is the perfect place for this Coffee Shop. Sadly it is overcrowded, the seats inside most probably due to that is not made to relax, inside the shop. It has become a pilgrim spot. But I’d rate it 5 for it’s servers and of course their barista. Best way to do it is to take out a nice cup of coffee and walk around the beautiful city of Kiyosumi Shirakawa.
Nice and quiet neighborhood, service is good and coffee tastes good, enjoy in this environment.
Good place! Really friendly staff with fluent basic English. For English speakers, highly recommend it.
Liked the coffee / cappuccino but the size was a but too small., atmosphere is all right.
Very good cappuccino, excellent taste, only in Italy you would find a better taste or maybe from the Illy branded coffee shops around Europe , rated it 5 starts strictly on the coffee, do not like the fact it doesn't have outdoor proper sitting area, or at least more then 2 stones, plus the area is a non-smoking one. Nevertheless if you want a very good coffee this is the place, just don't expect to sit as you would in any other normal European coffee shop(Italian or French).
The best cup of Americano I've ever had in my life! I ordered their (single origin Myanmar) Americano. I know very well that Blue Bottle always serve the best coffee they can have, but I wasn't expect that the Americano was that good. It was so good that the taste & viscosity almost match a delicious espresso!Too bad, they moved the roastery somewhere else in Tokyo.
Best coffee I've ever had!
Excellent coffee as expected, huge amount of space (converted from a warehouse?), very high ceilings created such an expansive space which is rare luxury in Tokyo. Very cool atmosphere. But one major problem is they don't serve tea at all (unlike in US), what about the non-coffee spouses?!?!
Came on a public holiday, rainy day. Not crowded. I like your warehouse setting. Table layout puts you facing other people on the same table. Being in Tokyo, the populus isn't the most open to discussion, so this seating format is rather awkward. The cappuccino I had was quite acidic and not in a good way. Even looking at the colouring I knew I was going to be in for a poor taste. Although just one or two orders in front of me, quite a wait for the coffee.
Nice environment and very good coffee
It was delicious and the ambiance was very modern and stylish. I sometimes come to this area for work early in the morning and I'm so excited to stop by this place for their amazing coffee and fresh waffle. Their coffee was fresh with unique notes and the waffle was so warm with a light crisp on the outside and fluffy inside. Starbucks has nothing on Blue Bottle. I'm very much looking forward to coming here again.
Coffee is the best quality and so fresh bakery.
Great place - very much like a cool US or Australian coffee shop in appearance just a bit more pricey - AUD25 for two iced coffees and two small pieces of (very nice) cake. Good coffee and polite, helpful staff.
thats a good one. excellent coffee
Coffee tasted good, but service is poor lots of staff still takes forever to get served. Portion sizes are really small for macchiato and cappuccino! Would rather go to a different local shop next time!
Excellent high grade coffee. Freshly brewed per cup great atmosphere great service.
It’s quite nice.I visited when it’s just opened of the day, overall is not busy, the staff introduced the coffee of the day proactively. I ordered iced coffee latte & the only scone on the menu. The scone is a salute one, and the surface is very crispy, inside of it is moist.I paid 993 yen for this coffee & scone, it’s quit acceptable with this price.
Delicate space! Staff Anna is super thoughtful and kind! Recommend
At calm street. Not many seats. But good place for coffee along with the street ambience.
First branch in Japan. Spacious and nice coffee. Can be packed especially on weekends. Best to during weekdays. Explore this area and don’t make this your only stop
Best Blue Bottle Branch in Tokyo (still the one at Kobe is the best so far in JP). I went there twice and the coffee I had for takeaway was slightly less great than the one I had there.
Had a drip coffee and a special coffee dripped by siphoning machine, and they were pretty good. The store is open and they are nice people.
Tucked away off the main street this is a trendy place going for the minimalist 'Soho warehouse' vibe, and achieving it. The coffee is good, I enjoyed a well-made macchiato and an over-priced cookie at a large table with a number of other folk, also enjoying their coffee and conversations. It's clearly very popular, but that could also because it is Golden Week and a lot of the good coffee shops are closed for the 10 days.
Excellent coffee but a disappointing absence of real food for such a huge place
The first blue bottle in Japan!
Overall it was a decent cafe. Even though the hype has worn off a bit there are still plenty of tourists and people standing around for seats. The coffee itself was good, my latte had beautiful micro-foam. This is a place to come and enjoy the coffee but if you are looking to have a chat with a friend beware you'll be sitting on benches outside or across wide and high tables. The staff are very welcoming and polite and English menus are available for those who can't read Japanese.
The shop is under construction. Therefore it’s closed now. Open at Nov,2019
Good coffee here, minimal design shop. Many type of coffee brewer you can select.
As far as I can tell, Blue bottle always does great coffee. Very specific taste. The staff is always nice and warm.
It's always such a treat ordering a drip coffee from Blur Bottle. The experience of watching the barista pour out multiple cups at once, each one slowly and methodically, shows exactly how much care is given to each order. Love coming here each time I visit Tokyo.
What is there to say about the famous Blue Bottle? Their coffee is always on point, the staff is great and friendly.. even their cookies are good! If you’re going on the weekend be prepare to wait because there’s usually a lot of people. It’s less crowded during the week.
First time here after it’s renovation. They have more seats now and the staff will allocate seats for you. They added some desserts to the menu. There are also some ceramic coffee wares only available in this shop.
Nice location and coffee. Lines are long and drinks are relatively expensive compared to other cafes. Not many food options.
The Blue Bottle is a subsidiary chain of coffee store from Nestle, America. It opens the first oversea branch in 清澄白河 (Kiyosumi-shirakawa) in Japan. As you see, the picture shows they put emphasis on the interior decoration to present the production area of the coffee bean and the process of Roasting and Brewing. I recommend the general Latte, which contains the nice coffee flavor and the nice taste of the milk foam. However, the Marketing helps this store famous. There are still a lot of local coffee shops which are worth to visit in Tokyo.
Incredibly busy here but unique spot to visit in the area especially if you're into the Blue Bottle brand . Worth your time if you're not busy and want to enjoy some good coffee
Still the best blue bottle in town.
So great for their coffee and deserts. Had been their Shinjuku coffee shop before. It’s more incredible much more in this time. Enjoy it.
A unique architecture of the coffee shop. Industrialized interior design. Single beans are provided based on countries. Extra fees are required to order latte made of single beans. For kids, they have lemonade squash.
Great atmosphere, really relaxing. Located in serene area but not farm from MRT station. Verily limites seats are available, queueing is a must.
Place is really nice ,good coffee. But no wifi and the sounds of the industrial size coffee grinder grinding beans is loud. Like you can hear it through the whole coffee shop
It's Saturday around 03:00 PM and we waited for around 30 minutes until we can get a seat. The store had a remake in 2019 into a very well designed place, they could have placed more seats to have more customers inside, but instead, they focused on making a more spacious place, which gives of a more relaxing vibe. There is one more floor inside but is not used for the customers, maybe it is the office ?. The menu is very simple, and since beside coffee drinks there are only desserts (not like other brands where also offer sandwiches or bread, etc), clearly they are aimed for just a coffee break style. So when you come inside, you can see that no one is here typing something on their Macbook, they actually talk to each other while enjoying their cup of coffee. This store attracts not only people who live in Tokyo, Japan but I can see also that there are a lot of foreigners (mostly Chinese) who are in the line to get in too.
Industrial interior, nice equipments and good taste of coffe......and waffleðŸ˜
Very good coffee and friendly staff. They put a lot of attention to making each drink so the wait can be long.
Crowded if you want to sit but takeout is less busy.
We had cappuccino (excellent), hot chocolate (very good), apple juice (amazing) and chocolate chip cookies (very good). Great ambiance and good service. Reason for not giving 5 stars is that menu has no flexibility : I asked for extra shot in cappuccino and was told that it was not possible (!). Strongly recommended.
Not crowded in rain days. The staff there was super friendly. Will go there again.
A nice place in a quiet lane .. although would be great to have more tables / chairs to sit around .. the lemon pound cake wasn’t that great though - wasn’t fresh and had that being_in_the_fridge_for_long taste. Had Decaf drip coffee and it was okay.
Coffee was good. Not enough seat at the time of my visit since majority of seats are secured for some sort of in-store event. Pretty hard to get here with public transportation.
Blue bottles continues its signature design, simple and bright in this area where far away from crowded tourist spot. I actually like this idea, as this location offer a quality time and environment to enjoy a cup of coffee. The iced coffee in tin can is getting my attention. Not sure it’s limited edition here, but definitely worth you having one as collection. I enjoy my Saturday mornin coffee! Perfect..
